If These Walls Could Rock

“If God had invented a hotel for rock bands, it probably would look like the Sunset Marquis.”

—Dave Marsh, Rolling Stone Magazine, 1978.

——-

There are more opulent hotels. There are hotels with more breathtaking locations. There are hotels, even in the same neighborhood, that are famous for who has died there, but for 60 years the Sunset Marquis has been the place where artists come to live, to create, to feel at home... a clubhouse where misfits fit in.

Based on the book of the same name, the documentary IF THESE WALLS COULD ROCK will be the first to tell the story of this legendary hotel and explore why the Sunset Marquis holds such a singular place in the rock ’n roll universe.

“The end product is fun and enjoyable but also relatable and rather touching.” - Decider

“Instead of only telling the stories of booze and drugs and destroying hotel rooms, the program instead focuses on not just the people who lived through it, but those who were wronged by the short nature of the metal craze and who survived to talk about it.” - Forbes

“It turns out what many may assume is I Wanna Rock‘s biggest weakness is truly its biggest strength — without more well-known names like Vince Neil and Axl Rose, the docuseries is spared a lot of still inflated egos, and is able to stab at deeper truths.” 4 of 5 stars - Giant Freaking Robot
